An Odessa woman is dead following a rollover wreck Wednesday afternoon in Ward County about three miles east of Pyote, Texas.
Amber Kaye Gunter, 18, was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 eastbound on IH-20 when she left the roadway to the left in the center median, steered back onto the roadway and overcorrected back to the left, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The vehicle then began a right skid across the center median and began rolling. Amber Gunter was not wearing her seatbelt. Her passenger, 15-year-old Noah Gunter was wearing his seatbelt and survived the wreck, but was injured, the report shows.
