ARY, KY : Man dies in Perry County ATV crash on Monday, 7th November 2016

A Perry County man has died after he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle and was thrown over an embankment.

The Kentucky State Police said in a news release Monday that 21-year-old James Fugate lost control of the ATV early Sunday while going around a curve in the Ary community, about 10 miles north of Hazard.

Police say the ATV overturned, throwing Fugate off. Fugate, who was not wearing a helmet, later died from his injuries at a hospital.

Authorities say toxicology tests will be performed but were not immediately available.
