Jonesboro, AR : Car crashes into house during chase on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2014

A high speed chase ended with a car crashing into a house Wednesday morning, according to Arkansas State Police. Bill Sadler, public information officer with Arkansas State Police, said Damontay Wright, 19, tried to get a driver's license at the State Police Headquarters in Jonesboro around 11 a.m. When an officer asked Wright about driving without a license, Wright jumped in the car and drove away, hitting a state police car, Sadler said. Officers chased Wright on Ingles Street and Willow Road, where he veered off the road and into a yard before he crashed into the house. A woman was home at the time of the crash, but she was not hurt. The collision caused significant damage to the home. Arkansas State Police are investigating the case.
