BRADFORD, VT : Bradford man injured in fiery car crash on Wednesday, 19th June 2024

A Bradford man was injured Wednesday night in a fiery crash on Route 5.

Vermont State Police say they received reports that a car crashed into a telephone pole and was on fire near Charles Field Road in Bradford.

Troopers responded, and with the help of the Bradford Fire Department and Upper Valley Ambulance, got the driver, Jackson Metayer, 32, out of the vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police say Metayer was traveling north on Route 5 when he suddenly swerved, crossed the center line and went off the road, hitting a fire hydrant and telephone pole.
