A Thief River Falls teenager died Friday after a Thursday evening crash sent her and two others to the hospital.
Heidi Annette Anenson, 18, was taken to Sanford Medical Center after a 1997 Dodge Caravan she was driving struck a 2003 Ford F-250 about 6 miles north of Thief River Falls on Minnesota Highway 32, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The agency initially said Friday afternoon Anenson's injuries were life-threatening, but it amended a release later that evening to say she died.
Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, which confirmed Anenson died Friday, posted a message on Facebook stating the teenager was a senior at the school. Administration wanted to "extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends" of Anenson, according to the post.
