A Ninety Six woman was killed in a Thursday morning wreck on Greenwood Highway in Saluda County.
Jacqualine Amanda McCarthy, 22, died at the scene of the wreck, according to Saluda County Chief Deputy Coroner Randy Simmons.
The wreck happened at 8:20 a.m. McCarthy was driving east in a 2014 Nissan Altima along U.S. Highway 178 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road, said Lance Cpl. David Jones with the state Highway Patrol.
She overcorrected, Jones said, sending her car off the left side of the road where it struck a ditch, then a tree.
