A motorist was rushed to a hospital after his car rear-ended a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning on Interstate 97 near Annapolis.
The crash occurred at 8:15 a.m. on northbound I-97 near Hawkins Road, two miles north of the Route 50 interchange, said Lt. Russ Davies, an Anne Arundel fire department spokesman.
The man, who is in his mid to late 60s, was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
