Adelanto, CA : Man injrued after hit-and-run crash in Adelanto on Wednesday, February 1, 2017
Authorities are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that left a man injured Wednesday evening.
Reports of a vehicle-vs-pedestrian crash in the 18200 block of Bellflower Street were received at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday. Victor Valley Sheriff's station officials said a 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle, which left the scene following the crash.
San Bernardino County Fire Department spokesman Eric Sherwin said the man was reported to be "awake and breathing" when paramedics arrived, and Sheriff's officials said he was ultimately transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. Further details on his injuries weren't provided late Wednesday.
The vehicle was described as a black SUV, officials said, but no other description was provided. The vehicle was still at large as of 8 p.m. Wednesday.
A section of Bellflower Street was closed between Brockman Avenue and Sage Street as authorities investigate the incident. Sheriff's officials said a power pole was also hit during the crash, and Southern California Edison personnel was requested to respond.
No other injuries have yet been reported due to the incident.
