ENFIELD, CT : Arrest made in fatal I-91 crash on December, Tuesday 19th 2017

Connecticut State Police have made an arrest for a 2016 crash on Interstate 91 in Enfield that left one motorist dead.

On Dec. 19, 2016, Officials responded to a crash on I-91 Northbound near exit 47E. Police say a driver veered to the right and crossed all three lanes before slamming into a barrier on the right shoulder. The car then continued on and vaulted near a bridge before coming to an uncontrolled rest onto Oliver Road.

The driver, 33-year-old John Gallucci of Windsor, was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. His passenger, 22-year-old Marie Parks of Springfield, Mass., succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.

On Dec. 16, 2017, police located and arrested Gallucci. He is facing charges of Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving, and Operating Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol.
