DUMMERSTON, VT : Brattleboro man suffers minor injuries in crash on Thursday, 6th October 2016
A Brattleboro man crashed his car into an embankment in Dummerston, Vt., Thursday evening after crossing the center line, according to Vermont State Police.
Derek Johnson, 36, drove a 2003 Chevy Malibu across the northbound lane on Route 30 and crashed on the opposite side, causing the car to roll over, police said in a news release.
Johnson suffered minor cuts and bruises and was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, the release said. The vehicle was heavily damaged, according to police.
The news release did not detail whether passengers were involved. The release said Johnson was wearing a seat belt. A Vermont Police dispatcher said no further information was available this morning.
Johnson was not being treated at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital this morning, according to a hospital representative.
