Pekin, IL:Pekin accident injures two people on Thursday, July 16th 2015

Two people were taken to a hospital after a crash in Pekin Thursday afternoon. It happened at the intersection of Court Street and Veterans Drive just before two o'clock. Pekin police say one driver on Court Street ran the traffic light and hit a vehicle heading North on Veterans. Emergency crews had to cut one of the victims out of her car."Anytime they have to extricate somebody from a car you do get a little nervous about their injuries and just what is going on. Pekin Fire and Advanced Medical Transport were on the scene pretty quickly," said Pekin Police Department Detective Mike Eeten.
