Man killed in motorcycle crash along I-90, Sunday afternoon in South Dakota
A Tennessee man, on his way back from the Sturgis Rally, has died after he lost control on his motorcycle. It happened around 1:15 p.m., Sunday, along EB I-90 just before the Montrose exit. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 71 year-old man was headed back from the rally, with friends, when he drifted into a guard rail, spun out of control and eventually flew off the motorcycle. He was killed instantly.Traffic along the interstate was backed up for several miles as crews worked to clear the area.Authorities say the Sunday following the Sturgis Rally marks one of the busiest travel days of summer."People need to be really defensive on days like today. You don't see this kind of traffic in South Dakota everyday and a little more dangerous with all the motorcycles out on the road," Sgt. Steve Swenson said.
