WAREHAM, MA : Driver injured in crash on I-195 in Wareham on Tuesday, January 24th 2017

A single-car accident on Interstate 195 caused delays on the westbound side in Wareham Tuesday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Trooper Earl Johnson.
At approximately 1 p.m., a car crashed into the woods, fully reaching the median, Trooper Johnson said. The driver of the vehicle suffered non-fatal lacerations to the head and was sent to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, according to Johnson. He could not determine the cause of the accident.
Johnson said the accident created a 10-minute closure of the right traffic lane near exit 21 on the westbound side while police requested tow trucks to bring chainsaws to remove the car from the tree line.
