Emmett,ID : Student heading to school injured in crash with school bus on May, Thursday 3rd 2018
Authorities in west-central Idaho say no children on a school bus were injured in a chain-reaction crash but a juvenile driver headed to school that police say failed to yield was transported to a hospital.
Officials say the bus contained 23 middle school and high school children when the collision occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday in Emmett.
Police say the juvenile driver in a 2007 Honda Accord rear-ended a Twin Falls man stopped behind the bus in a 2005 Honda Accord, pushing that vehicle into the bus that had lights flashing as it stopped to pick up children on State Highway 52.
Police say the juvenile driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
Emmett School District Superintendent Wayne Rush says the juvenile driver was awake and talking after the crash.
