EASTON, PA : Washington County woman, 75, killed in two-vehicle crash in Easton on Route 40 on Monday, 10th December 2018

A 75-year-old woman died Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 40 south of the hamlet of Middle Falls.

The woman, Caroline J. Doyle of Greenwich, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Albany Medical Center via helicopter, according to State Police. He was identified as Marc J. Alpy, 37, of Cambridge, and his condition was not available later Monday.Doyle drove a 2017 Subaru Outback south that crossed into the northbound lane at a curve, hitting Alpy's van, according to police. The driver’s sides of each vehicle took the brunt of the impact.

The head-on collision occurred south of Hegeman Bridge Road intersection at 12:47 p.m.
