Portland, OR : Cyclist suffers serious injuries after being hit by car in North Portland early Wednesday evening, March 30, 2016
A cyclist suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car early Wednesday evening in North Portland, police said.
The cyclist, a man who wasn't named by police, was hit by a car in the intersection of North Rosa Parks Way and Delaware Avenue, Portland police said in a news release. Officers responded to the intersection at about 7:20 p.m.
Police didn't name the driver who hit him but said he's a man in his 80s.
The man stayed at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with investigators, police said. Police don't think he was impaired at the time of the crash.
The cyclist was taken to a Portland hospital, and the crash is under investigation.
No additional information about the crash was available Wednesday evening.
