HERRIMAN, UT : 1 dead, another hospitalized after crash in Herriman on Wednesday, 10th March 2021

An 89-year-old woman died and a 91-year-old man was hospitalized after a crash on Main Street in Herriman Wednesday afternoon. Police said Thursday that a previously approved traffic signal for the intersection has also been expedited.

In a Thursday news release, the Herriman Police Department said officers responded to a 4:30 p.m. call reporting a two-vehicle car crash with injuries at 6400 West and Main Street. The release says the 89-year-old woman was transported by helicopter and the 91-year-old man was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The woman died from her injuries at the hospital.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation, but police said drugs or alcohol were not thought to be factors in the crash.
