DENVER, CO : Arvada woman suspected in fatal hit-and-run crash on Sunday, 18th August 2019

A suburban Denver woman suspected of hitting and killing a 77-year-old bicyclist with her SUV before fleeing the scene has surrendered to authorities.

The Denver Post reports the 43-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, turned herself in hours after Sunday evening’s crash in Arvada. The victim, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis says the Arvada woman is speaking with investigators, and no charges have been filed.

No other information was released.
