Barry, IL : man dies in rural accident on Saturday, February 4th 2017

Cory E. Slone, 33, of Barry, Ill., was reported dead at the scene of a traffic accident on Saturday, Feb. 4, near Hull, Ill.
Pike County, Ill., Sheriff Paul Petty reported that at approximately 12:12 p.m. Feb. 4, Pike County E9-1-1 received a call from a passerby, reporting a vehicle in a ditch on Pike County Highway 57 approximately 1/4 mile west of Ill. 96 near Hull.
Petty said Sloan, the driver of the vehicle, was discovered unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle, a 1994 black Ford F150 single cab, appeared to have been eastbound on 57 toward Ill. 96 when it left the roadway to the north and struck an embankment head-on, causing severe damage to the vehicle.
Petty said the Illinois State Police and Pike County coroner's office were handling the accident, which remained under investigation, and no foul play was expected.
