One person is dead following a crash in north Charlotte Friday afternoon. North Carolina Highway Patrol says troopers were engaged in a chase with the vehicle when it crashed.
It happened around 1:20 p.m. on Statesville Road at St. Francis Drive, blocking the roadway.
Medic says they pronounced one person dead at the scene.
No names have been released.
