Auburn ME: 33-year-old Women Hit by Tractor and died Thursday morning at the Walmart on Mount Auburn Avenue- 23rd October 2014

Investigators said a woman was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer early Thursday morning at the Walmart on Mount Auburn Avenue in Auburn, Maine. Police said Kassandra Lavoie, 33, of Mechanic Falls, Maine, was killed instantly when a truck hit her around 1 a.m. near the gas station in the parking lot. Police said they had responded to the parking lot earlier in the night for a report of a suspicious person. Lavoie had been issued a criminal summons by police in Lewiston, Maine, for theft and possession of inhalants earlier in the day, Auburn police said. The accident remains under investigation.
