Scranton, PA : Woman injured after Ransom Twp. crash on Thursday afternoon, April 6, 2017

Medical personnel transported a woman to a hospital Thursday afternoon after a crash along Newton Ransom Boulevard.

The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. , when a car driven by Angela Saar, of Ransom Twp., left the road and hit a dumpster near a home at 2135 Newton Ransom Blvd., according to South Abington Twp. police. Two children were in the car at the time of the crash, police said. A resident of the home came out and got the children out of the car, but emergency personnel from Newton Ransom Volunteer Fire Company had to extricate Saar from the vehicle. She was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center. Police are still investigating the crash.
