Enid, OK : 61-year-old woman injured after being struck by car at 13th and Maine on Tuesday, July 28, 2015

A 61-year-old Enid woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into her car.

Rose M. Nava was taken from the scene of the 3:39 p.m. collision by Life EMS to St. Mary’s Regional
Medical Center, according to an Enid Police Department collision report.

Nava suffered non-incapacitating head and body injuries in the collision at 13th and Maine.

According to the report, Briley J. Parker, 18, told police he was driving too fast on 13th and was
unable to stop for the stop sign at Maine. He said he was then struck by Nava’s vehicle.

Nava told police she was eastbound on Maine in the inside lane and Parker’s vehicle “came out of
nowhere” and she struck the vehicle, according to the report.

Parker was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. He was not injured.
