Channahon, IL : A 55 years David H. Poole David H. Jr was killed in a an early morning motorcycle crash at Blue Grass Drive On Friday, July 15th, 2016

Authorities are investigating an early morning motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a Channahon man.

A Channahon officer came across the crash at 1:15 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from Grundy County Coroner John Callahan. It appears the crash occurred after the motorcycle struck a median curb on Blue Grass

Drive just east of Ridge Road and lost control of the cycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, David H. Poole Jr., 55, of Channahon, was pronounced dead at the scene by Callahan at 2:45 a.m., according to the news release.

Callahan’s office and the Channahon Police Department are investigating the crash.
