Tompkinsville, KY : One person killed in a crash when he lost control of the milk truck at Fountain Run On Tuesday, July 12th, 2016

A Tompkinsville man was injured Tuesday afternoon when he lost control of the milk truck he was driving on Ky. 100 about five miles east of Fountain Run.

Frank Ortega, 53, who was traveling west in a 2007 Kenworth milk truck when was attempting to negotiate a curve in the road. The load of milk in the trailer shifted, causing the truck to overturn off the roadway, according to a

Kentucky State Police press release.

Ortega was flown from the scene by Air Evac 43 to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with non-life threatening injuries, the press release said.

Senior Officer Casey Tooley investigated the crash and was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff, the Monroe County Emergency Medical Service, fire departments in Monroe County and Air Evac 43, the press release

said.
