Garden City, KS : A Garden City teen was injured in an accident on Thursday, 5th April 2018

A Garden City teen was injured in an accident Thursday morning after he rear-ended a semi truck in rural Gray County.

Cory Loewen, 22, of Garden City was westbound on U.S. Highway 50 in a 2012 Kenworth semi at about 10:13 a.m., when Ashton James David Line, 17, of Garden City, rear-ended him near milepost 86, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Loewen had slowed down to turn south onto County Road 4 when the accident occurred.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt, and Line was transported to an unidentified hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
