Houma,LA : Destrehan woman killed in Raceland crash on November, Wednesday 29th 2017

A 21-year-old Destrehan woman was killed after her car hit a utility pole and tree this evening in Raceland, State Police said.
Kayla Blyden Brown died on the scene, Trooper First Class Jesse LaGrange said in a news release. Troop C in Gray was notified shortly before 6 p.m.
LaGrange said Brown was driving south on La. 308 just north of Peltier Drive in a 2006 Pontiac G6. She failed to negotiate a right curve, and her car went off the right side of the road.
Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt, had to be extricated from the car, LaGrange said. A routine toxicology test is pending.
