Pampa, TX : Plains teen killed, two seriously injured in Texas collision on Saturday night, August 20, 2016
A Plains teenager was killed and her younger sister seriously injured in a crash Saturday night in Pampa.
Texas Highway Patrol officers reportedly were attempting to stop a pickup for speeding. The pickup drove into oncoming traffic, crashing into a car carrying four members of a Kansas family.
According to KAKE TV in Wichita, Jarah Breece, 13, of Plains, died from her injuries. Her 11-year-old sister, Holly Breece, was flown to a Lubbock, Texas, hospital with injuries. The girls’ parents were treated at the scene.
KAKE reported that a “GoFundMe” account said the family was returning from a wedding in Amarillo at the time of the accident.
The driver of the pickup was arrested on charges of murder, intoxication assault and evading in a motor vehicle, causing serious bodily injury.
