Columbus, AL : An 83-year-old Phenix City woman died in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, August 20, 2017

An 83-year-old Phenix City woman died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. confirmed.

Sumbry said 83-year-old Elizabeth Fulford was a passenger in one of the vehicles. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:45 p.m.

The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 80 West near Armour Road Sunday afternoon. Sumbry said the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and body.

Sumbry said the drivers were taken for medical treatment.
