Cincinnati, OH : Two people killed, 1 injured in one-car crash, fire in southwestern Ohio on Sunday night, January 3, 2016

Two people were killed and a third injured in a fiery crash after the car they were in ran off the road and struck a tree and utility pole.

Police in the Cincinnati suburb of Springfield Township say officers responded late Sunday night to a report of a crash and fire that occurred shortly before midnight.

Springfield police did not immediately release the identities of the two people killed in the crash. They say the third person was taken to a hospital, but that person's condition wasn't immediately known.

Investigators say they suspect alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. Their investigation is continuing.
