NORTH BALTIMORE, OH : Two people injured in wrong-way crash on Thursday, 5th July 2018

Two people suffered minor injuries when a motorist drove the wrong way on Interstate 75 and collided with a tractor-trailer Thursday night, the Bowling Green post of the State Highway Patrol reported.

According to the patrol, Marie Woodruff, 80, of North Baltimore, entered the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 from the Ohio 18 exit ramp at 6:26 p.m. Woodruff drove her 2016 Jeep Patriot south in the northbound lanes for a short distance before colliding head-on with a 2014 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Eric Wilson, 42, of Wixom, Michigan, the patrol reported. Wilson swerved in an effort to avoid hitting the Jeep but was unsuccessful, according to the patrol.

Following impact, the truck ran off the left side of the road, striking a concrete median wall. Woodruff’s vehicle spun around and came to rest in the middle lane, the patrol said.
