Boise ,ID : Five people were injured and Driver taken into Custody after Two Cars Collided at Highway 16 on Monday , December 22nd 2014
Five people were sent to the hospital after two cars collided at the intersection of Highway 44 and Highway 16 Monday night.
Ada County Sheriff's Deputies say one vehicle, carrying two adults and two children, was traveling southbound on Highway 16, and had a green light to turn left onto Highway 44.
Deputies say the driver of the other car, Dylan A. Simington, was on 44 going west when he he failed to yield at the stoplight at the intersection, and crashed into the first vehicle.
Witnesses told deputies that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. Likely over the posted 55 mph.
All five people, including the two children, were taken to the hospital with what deputies called non-life threatening injuries.
