Grand Junction, CO : 57-year-old Woman injured in motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 50 and 32 Road on Tuesday, June 21, 2016

A 57-year-old woman from Bonham, Texas, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries after her three-wheeled motorcycle ran into the back of a sedan at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and 32 Road on Tuesday. The motorcycle flipped and the woman was not wearing a helmet, according to Trooper Nate Reid of the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash at about noon occurred when the female driver of the 2013 Harley-Davidson tricycle collided with the rear of Toyota Corolla being driven by an 18-year-old Grand Junction woman, Cruz Soto, Reid said.

Reid said Soto was slowing down for a flashing yellow light when the crash occurred.
