PIERCE COUNTY, WA : Semi-truck driver killed in crash near JBLM on Thursday, 29th June 2023

Two 16-year-old boys believed to be involved in an armed robbery were arrested in Lakewood after crashing a stolen Kia into a semi-truck near Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) during the Thursday morning commute.

The driver of the semi-truck was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and died at the hospital. The crash happened on the ramp from Berkeley Street Southwest to I-5 just after 5:35 a.m.
