Hannibal, MO : Monroe City resident injured in Boone County crash on Sunday, 21st August, 2016
A Monroe City resident sustained moderate injuries Sunday night in a one-vehicle crash in Boone County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 11:15 p.m. Aug. 21 on Route M 500 feet west of Fox Hollow Road.
A 2004 Chevrolet truck was being driven west by 21-year-old Zachary D. Crader of Columbia. The mishap occurred when the truck traveled off the right side of the road. When Crader overcorrected the vehicle went off the left side of the road. The truck returned to the roadway one final time and overturned.
Injured were three occupants – 21-year-old Juliana N. Hays of Monroe City, and 21-year-old Raechel R. Douglas and 21-year-old Sean M. Murphy, both of Columbia. The injuries suffered by Douglas and Murphy were described as minor. None of the injured were wearing safety devices.
The injured were taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
