Parkersburg, WV : Bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon September 9th 2014

Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a bicyclist in Wood County. The victim's body was found in a ditch across from a park and ride on West Virginia Route 47 on Tuesday afternoon. The victim's name and gender haven't been released. Wood County Prosecutor Jason Wharton tells media outlets that investigators believe the incident occurred between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday. The West Virginia State Police is investigating.
