ARCHDALE, NC : Crash snarling I-85 N involves stolen truck on Tuesday, 26th June 2023

A man accused of stealing a paving company truck is in the hospital after a chase and crash on Tuesday, according to the NC State Highway Patrol.

Around 6:43 a.m., the troopers responded to a call for help by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office as they were pursuing a JT Russell & Sons company pickup truck that was confirmed to be stolen on Interstate 85 north near US 64.

Around 6:47 a.m., a troopers assumed the primary position in the pursuit as the suspect approached the Randolph County line.

A tire deflation device was successfully deployed by the Thomasville Police Department during this time.
