Union County, N.C : One person died in a single vehicle wreck near Jackson School Road on Tuesday, February 24, 2015

One person was killed in a vehicle accident in Union County Tuesday, according to troopers.

The wreck happened just before 4 p.m. on Potter Road near Jackson School Road a single vehicle. Investigators say the driver of the car was speeding when they came around a curve and fishtailed.

The car then went to the opposite side of the road and crashed.

North Carolina State troopers confirmed that one person was killed in the wreck. That person's name has not been released.

Officials have not said if any other injuries were reported.
