ANCHORAGE, AK : Police, troopers respond to 10-vehicle crash on Knik River Bridge on Friday, 4th November 2016
Anchorage police and Alaska State Troopers responded to a 10-vehicle pileup on the Knik River Bridge Friday morning.
The right hand outbound lane was closed while emergency responders worked the scene, APD said. Drivers were urged to slow down before approaching the bridge and use extra caution.
"The bridge is incredibly icy and cars are hitting one another as well as the guardrail. We are waiting for the sand trucks to arrive," said APD spokeswoman Renee Oistad in an email.
Troopers and APD say there have been no reports of injuries.
