A Port Charlotte man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle late Saturday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that Robert Anthony Eisen, 36, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle while coming onto I-75 off the Jones Loop entrance ramp.
The bike overturned, slid across the interstate and onto the median before crashing into the cable barrier. Eisen, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
