Community mourns student killed in crash in Providence Rhode Island
A local community continues to mourn nearly two days after one of its own was killed in a car crash at Bryant University.Christiano Barbosa was just starting his collegiate career at Bryant when his life was tragically cut short early Thursday morning. He and his friends were driving on campus through campus shortly after midnight when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The car's other four occupants survived.Barbosa is remembered by community members as a "great young man." His first boss - Heather Coogan, the manager of Horton's Seafood in East Providence - said she was devastated by Barbosa's sudden death."He was liked by everyone," she said.Barbosa and his family belong to a Seekonk Christian Church. The local youth group held a vigil Friday night in his memory.
