Orange County, FL : 48-year-old man killed after his moped crashes into car in Orange County on Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2014

A 48-year-old man from Auburndale was killed Saturday afternoon after his moped crashed into the back of a car that was stopped in traffic in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The man, whose identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification, was traveling northbound in the left travel lane on Apopka Vineland Road, south of Farley Street, approaching a vehicle that was stopped in traffic around 4:07 p.m. The vehicle stopped in traffic was being driven by 32-year-old Jada Sullivan and 21-year-old Brian Peterson. They were stopped in the left travel lane. The man on the moped failed to stop and crashed into the rear of Sullivan's vehicle. The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The crash remains under investigation, the report states.
