A 19-year-old Bloomington man was killed in a rollover crash that also injured two 16-year-old girls early Sunday.
Johnny Lucas Avila was killed just after 1:30 a.m. when the green 1995 Chevy Tahoe he was driving rolled and crashed into a parked car, California Highway Patrol officials said in a statement.
The Tahoe was traveling south on Linden Avenue, just south of Gregory Street, allegedly at a high rate of speed. Avila lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll and crash into a parked car on Linden Avenue, according to officials.
Authorities say Avila was not wearing his seatbelt and was tossed from the Tahoe. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two teenage girls were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the fatal crash.
