Monessen,PA : Crash delaying inbound Parkway East after outbound crash cleared on December, Monday 18th 2017

The outbound Parkway East is closed near the Edgewood/Swissvale interchange because of a multi-vehicle crash, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT announced the closure shortly before 4:30 a.m. It remained closed an hour later.

All eastbound traffic is exiting at the interchange, Exit 77.

PennDOT advises drivers to find an alternate route.

Inbound traffic could be affected if emergency personnel remain on the scene, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said.

“We will be monitoring,” he said.
