TUCSON, AZ : Deadly pedestrian crash closes down Valencia Road in both directions over I-19 on Tuesday, 26th September 2023

Tucson police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at West Valencia Road on the I-19 overpass.

Officers say the car involved fled the scene and continued westbound on Valencia Road without stopping.

As officers arrived, all attempts to render aid to the pedestrian were made.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene.
