ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL : Early morning crash at Riverside Baptist Church leaves one dead building engulfed by fire on Thursday, 20th June 2024

One person is dead after a vehicle crashed in a Riverside church and caught fire early Thursday morning.

Riverside Mayor Rusty Jessup said they were notified of the incident around 2:00 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church.

“Unfortunately, by the time I got here there were flames 50 feet in the air," said Jessup.
