Woodland, CA : Major damage, 3 injured in car crash at county roads 98 and 27 south of Woodland on Wednesday, 17th July 2019

Major damage resulted to two vehicles in an accident at county roads 98 and 27 south of Woodland Tuesday night, and three people taken to area hospitals.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 8:45 p.m. when Kristin Lee Lomas, 47, of Davis was driving a 2002 Chevy Suburban on southbound CR-98, approaching CR-27.

The CHP reported that Lee Juarez Polanco, Sr., 76, of Winters, meanwhile, was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota on westbound CR-27, approaching CR-98.

Polanco failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection, the CHP noted, causing the Chevy to broadside the Dodge.

The traffic collision caused major damage to both vehicles and injuries to three individuals.

Polanco and Lomas as well as a passenger in Lomas” vehicle, Georgia Waid, 70, of Davis, all suffered complaints of pain. Lomas and Waid were taken to Sutter Hospital in Davis, while Polanco was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville.
