Vigil held for Parma native KSU student killed in crash

Family and friends of Parma native and Kent State University student JJ Marino, killed in a spring break crash in Alabama,held a prayer service vigil Tuesday night.Itwas held at Marino's house off-campus.TheParma native and senior at KSU was killed in a car accident in Alabama Saturday.
Joseph J. "JJ" Marino, 23, was ejected from an SUV Saturday night. He died Sunday at Baptist
Medical Center South in Montgomery, Ala.
Marino was a passenger with four others heading north on Interstate 65 when their SUV collided with a semi truck driven by an Ashville, Ala. man.
The truck driver, John Purifoy, was not injured in the crash.The SUV was driven by Nader Hassen, 22.

He and his passengers, Lamar Washington, 23, Michael Willis, 25, and Joseph Noah, 22, were taken to Baptist South for their injuries. Their conditions were not available.Friends of the family say Marino and his friends were headed home from a trip to Florida.

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating.
