Murfreesboro, TN :Walmart Shoplifting Call Turns Into Tennessee Highway Pursuit on Wednesday, July 1st 2015

Murfreesboro police found themselves in a highway pursuit around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday after shoplifting suspects at the Walmart on Old Fort Pkwy left in their vehicle. Police say the suspect also attempted to run over responding officers on foot in the parking lot. The suspects traveled several miles before entering I-24 at the S. Church St. ramp. Police say the suspects' vehicle got off I-24 and went into a grassy area between the interest and the on-ramp. Police say the vehicle went in the direction of pursuing officers, and a minor crash occurred. The suspects' vehicle became trapped due to steep terrain. The three suspects in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. No one was hurt. Police have not yet indicated what charges will be pressed.
