Bernalillo County authorities say a 12-year-old girl is dead as a result of an Albuquerque-area accident in which several other children were injured. The Sheriff's Department says the two-vehicle accident occurred Monday morning at the intersection of Coors Boulevard Southwest and Kirsten Road Southwest. The department says a total of four children, including the girl pronounced dead, were taken to a hospital. News photos of the crash site showed a heavily damaged SUV and a car.
